In April 2018 in Gdańsk, the Faculty of History and the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Gdańsk organized the scientific conference The Last Judgment of Hans Memling: History – Law – Symbols. 2018 marked the 545th anniversary of Paul Benek’s famous exploit, which brought The Last Judgment back to Gdańsk — first to St. Mary’s Church and later to the National Museum, where it has remained to this day. The conference was accompanied by the launch of Beata Możejko’s book, published by the Gdańsk University Press.
