A new visual identity for Stare Polesie — one of the oldest districts in the city of Łódź, Poland. The logo’s angled stroke represents the district’s historic rural layout and its distinctive position on the map. The colors chosen for the project are black, white, and dark red — the red evoking the brick used in the industrial factories throughout Łódź.
The typography is simple and modern. The branding also draws on patterns inspired by local architectural details. I designed a small set of icons, mostly of cultural buildings that could help promote the district beyond its borders. By combining these elements, I created a wide range of promotional merchandise.
